Hong Kong Treble Choir - Elite Class

The Hong Kong Treble Choir (HKTC) was established in November 2000 as a registered charitable organisation with the support of locally renowned choral experts and consultants including Ms. Barbara Fei (Honorary Advisor), Prof. Wing-wah Chan (Honorary Artistic Director) and Prof. Leon Shiu-wai Tong (Founder, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor). Under the guidance and leadership of Prof. Tong, HKTC has toured and performed in mainland China, Europe and all over Asia. In 2009, the Elite class received “The Outstanding Treble Choir of China Award” with the highest score in the 4th China Treble Choir Festival Competition. In 2010, the class won the “Gold Diploma” and “The Best Conductor Award” in the 8th Cantemus International Choir Festival in Hungary. In 2012, the Class participated in the 10th International Festival of Choral Art "The Singing World"’ and was the Champion of children’s choir category. Nevertheless, the class was invited to be the Resident Choir of Hong Kong International Youth and Children’s Choir Festival in 2011 and 2013.
Kelvin Lo
Conductor / Leader
The Best Conductor of the 8th Cantemus International Choral Festival, Kelvin is the Deputy Director of Hong Kong Treble Choir. Since the establishment of the Choir, Kelvin has been leading the Elite Group to perform on many local and international stages in Hungary, France, Russia, Estonia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and different cities in China. Under Kelvin’s baton, the Elite Group gave a demonstration performance in 2006 International Society for Education (ISME) World Conference and concerts with the world famous Young People’s Chorus of New York City, Les petits chanteurs de Saint-marc and Estonia TV Girls’ Choir. Nevertheless, the Elite Group attained “The Outstanding Treble Choir of China Award” with the highest score in the 4th China Treble Choir Festival Competition in 2009, the “Gold Diploma” in the 8th Cantemus International Choral Festival in 2010 and the championship of children’s choir competition in the 10th Singing World International Choral Festival in 2012. Kelvin is also the Vice President of Hong Kong Treble Choirs’ Association and the Organizing Committee member of World Youth and Children’s Choir Festival Hong Kong.
