The Hong Kong Treble Choir (HKTC) was established in November 2000 as a registered charitable organisation with the support of locally renowned choral experts and consultants including Ms. Barbara Fei (Honorary Advisor), Prof. Wing-wah Chan (Honorary Artistic Director) and Prof. Leon Shiu-wai Tong (Founder, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor). Under the guidance and leadership of Prof. Tong, HKTC has toured and performed in mainland China, Europe and all over Asia. In 2012, the Advanced Class members – with the youngest member aged 6 – participated in ‘The 11th China International Chorus Festival’ in Beijing, and won the Gold Award in children’s choir category. Tour performances were held in Taipei and Shanghai respectively in 2013 and 2014. In 2012, the advanced class members engaged in the sound recording of the popular McDull animation movie “The Pork of Music”.
Swan showed great passion towards music education, particularly in choral training. Swan joined the Hong Kong Treble Choir in 2002, and is currently the Associate Director. She accompanied the choir to numerous overseas tour, countries visited included China, Singapore, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, France, Finland, Russia and Estonia. In 2012, Swan conducted the choir to participate in The 11th China International Chorus Festival & IFCM World Choral Summit and was awarded the Gold Prize in the Children’s Choir (age 12 or under) category.
