The choir of the Roman-Catholic church in Krupina was founded in 1991. It is a chamber ensemble composed of people of all walks of life. Besides singing at the Holy Masses they also sing concerts whenever possible. The choir has participated in several cities of Slovakia (Námestovo 1995 – 2002) and Czech Republic (Olomouc 2014) where they were awarded the gold band. In 2008 they released their first CD and some of the songs are broadcasted in the radio. Since its beginnings the choir is led by Ms Anna Lizbetinova, a music teacher at the Music School in Krupina.
Ms Anna Lizbetinova graduated from the State Conservatory in Kosice (organ, piano 1978) and the University of M.Bel in Banska Bystrica (music teaching 2007). Since 1978 she works as a teacher at the Music School in Krupina. She‘s been inclined towards choir singing since youth. She led girls‘ vocal group and later on a women‘s choir Marina. After she started playing the organ in the church of Krupina she founded the choir an she‘s been leading them for 25 years. Together they were awarded several prizes at national festivals and in the Czech Republic too. She also led workshops for choir conductors. In 2013 she was awarded the Prize of Krupina for her lifelong teacher‘s work, choir leadership, representation of the town and the cultural development in the town.
