Members of Da Capo choir are kids aged 9-11 from classes with more hours of music lessons from Elementary School and Elementary Music School Bezdrevska in Ceske Budejovice. Name of the choir in Italian means „from the beginning“. It symbolizes every year’s systematic work with the small children coming to the choir from the preparatory choir Piccolo. Da Capo regularly participates in spring and Christmas concerts and at Vltavske Cantare Festival. They have also won a lots of awards at the competitionsin Olomouc, Most, Prague, Pardubice, Susica, Louny, Skutec. The most recent activity of the choir was a concert together with Hradistan ensemble in Ceske Budejovice. Choir’s repertoire consists mostly of folksongs in different arrangements and children’s songs written by 20th century composers. The choir is accompanied by the pianist Ms Lyudmyla Izugrafova. The conductor is Ms Vaclava Mikova.
