The mixed choir Cantores Carvatiani was set up in September 2010. From the very beginning it has been performing under the auspices of Museum “Dwory Karwacjanów i Gładyszów” in Gorlice. The members of the choir are people fond of singing, mainly teachers but also graduate students of music schools. Since its foundation the ensemble has been engaged in the cultural life of the local region. In its constantly growing repertoire the choir focuses on the works of contemporary Polish and foreign composers as well as the pieces of sacral and popular music. In 2014 they were awarded 1st prize in category of Mixed Choirs at the 20th International Carols Festival in Będzin.
Anna Cisoń is graduated from Music Academy in Bydgoszcz in the class of choir conducting and musical education led by Proffesor Elżbieta Wiesztordt. She works as a teacher at the 1st level State Music School in Gorlice and Korzenna. She is also a conductor of Cantores Carvatiani. In 2015 she was awarded the Mayor of Gorlice prize for particular achievements in artistic activity and dissemination of culture.
