Mgr. art. Tomáš Rojček was born in 1979 in Bratislava. During 1995 - 2001 he was studying at the State Conservatory in Bratislava, specialization piano, composition and conducting. He is the author of authentic works presented on concerts and broadcasted by TV and radio. He also deals with song, scenic, film and animated works. Out of many successes it is worth mentioning songs for world-famous opera singers like Martin Babjak (Volley of Hands), Andrea Danková (Love only sleeps) and Adriana Kučerová (Love inside us). He co-operated with film director Juraj Jakubisko on films Colored stones, Post Coitum, etc. The last success is symphonic music for Expo Zaragoza 2008 (The World exposition in Spain). It was recorded by Slovak Philharmonic orchestra. The song Love inside us was created as a Christian hymn for International Meeting of Christians Bratislava 2008, broadcasted by Slovak Television. In the same year he successfully graduated at the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava. Currently he is teaching piano and composition at the Primary Music School of Július Kowalský in Bratislava. He arranged and scored musical My Fair Lady for a young orchestra Cantilena. It was first performed in June 2009. Besides composing he also dedicates his time to chamber music and conducting.
