Milestone - Passion - Sharing Featuring passionate singers aged 10 to 12, the Marymount Primary School Senior Choir, founded in 2008, aims at awakening hearts through music and sharing the joy of music with others. This first festival tour marks a significant milestone for the choir and a special way to celebrate our school’s centenary. Over the past decade, the choir has won five championships in church music choir competitions at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and has been honoured with several invitations to perform at the Prize Winners’ Concert at St John’s Cathedral in Hong Kong. The theme of our competition programme: “Why We Sing – Music’s True Joy” reflects our shared belief in choral singing: through music we praise God, feel the rhythm of life, and find inspiration that uplifts our spirits. Choral singing also brings us together, help us meet friends through a universal language that connects hearts. The choir will sing in German as a gesture of respect and greeting, as well as in English and Mandarin, embracing a global voice that presents music as praise, connection, and life force. Through this programme, the choir bridges cultures through song and shares a heartfelt belief in the uplifting power of choral singing.
