Founded in 1946, the choir Hejnał Mazańcowice has built a rich musical tradition through a diverse repertoire spanning many eras and styles — from Renaissance music to contemporary compositions, including sacred, secular, patriotic, and folk songs. In recent years, the choir has achieved significant international success, earning 1st place and a special award for the best performance of a Renaissance piece at the Festival of Choirs in Ohrid, North Macedonia (2022), a Silver Diploma at the 42nd International Choral Festival in Preveza, Greece (2024), and Golden Diplomas at both the 26th International Festival of Sacral Choir Creation in Námestovo, Slovakia (2025) and the Prof. Józef Świder 10th International Festival of Music in Cieszyn, Poland (2025).
Krzysztof Przemyk is a graduate of the Institute of Liturgical Studies at the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Kraków, as well as the Faculty of Church History with a specialization in music at the same university. He also completed Postgraduate Choirmaster Studies at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. A respected conductor and organizer of festivals and music reviews, he serves as the head of the branch of the Municipal Cultural Center in Mazańcowice. He actively collaborates with numerous choral festivals across Poland and Europe.
