Established in 2017 by the Foshan Children's Palace of Culture and Art, the Foshan Children's Choir has quickly risen to prominence as one of the outstanding choral groups in Guangdong Province. The choir has earned numerous accolades on both national and international stages, including the Gold Medal and Champion title in the Children’s Choir category at the 8th Bali International Choir Festival, a Gold Award at the 8th China Children’s Choir Festival, a Gold Award in the Primary School category at the Pengcheng Cup·China (Shenzhen) Children’s Choir Festival, a Gold Medal in the Folk Song category at the 8th Singapore International Choir Festival, and both the Champion title and a Gold Medal in the Children’s Category at the 1st Hong Kong International Choir Festival.
Zhang Xujun, a young conductor, serves as Artistic Director and Resident Conductor of multiple distinguished choirs, including the Star Ferris Wheel Boys Choir at Guangzhou Tianhe District Children's Palace, Foshan Children's Choir, Guangzhou Yuner Choir, and Baiyun Education Choir. He is also the Resident Conductor of the Yulan Grand Theater Children's Choir. As an active contributor to China's choral community, he holds several key positions: Member of the China Chorus Association; Executive Director of the Guangdong Provincial Chorus Association; Vice President of the Guangzhou Chorus Association and Deputy Director of its Children's Choir Committee; Director of the Guangzhou Musicians Association and Deputy Secretary-General of its Choral Committee. Recognized for his exceptional talent, he has been honored as "Outstanding Young Conductor of Guangzhou" and "Leading Talent in Youth Choral Conducting." He is also listed among the first cohort of music experts in Guangzhou's "Literary and Art Experts Database." Wu Yuying, a member of the Communist Party of China, is also a member of the China Choral Association, Guangdong Provincial Choral Association, and Guangzhou Choral Association. She currently serves as Assistant Conductor of the Foshan Children’s Choir. Her awards and honors include the Excellence Performance Award at the Macau International Choral Festival, the Best Conductor Award on World Choral Day (organized by the IFCM), a Silver Medal in the Choral Category at the 11th Tuscany International Music Festival in Italy, and a Gold Award in the Children's Choir category at the "Road to World Choir Games" 2022 Choral Video Competition. She also received the Champion title in the Children's Choir category at the 1st Hong Kong International Choral Festival, a Certificate of Excellence in Artistic Practice from CEU University (Philippines Masterclass & Concert), and Second Prize in the 5th "Baihua Cup" Teaching Skills Competition for Youth Social Educators in Guangdong. Additionally, she participated in a Choral Conducting Masterclass in the Philippines.
